Juventus climb into Serie A top 6 with commanding win over Atalanta
Juventus moved up to sixth in Serie A with a convincing 2–0 victory over Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium, as goals from Francisco Conceição and Gleison Bremer rewarded a composed performance from Luciano Spalletti’s side.
With 12 of the 19 league meetings between these sides ending level a cautious opening in Turin seemed no surprise.

Atalanta arrived unbeaten from their eight Serie A visits to Juventus with two wins and six draws and slowly began to threaten.
Lazar Samardžić and Jonathan Rowe both missed close‑range chances in succession as the visitors searched for an early breakthrough.
Juventus however struck first in the minute. Zeki Çelik passed a cutback to Conceição and the Portugal winger guided a precise finish into the bottom corner for his first goal of the season.
Atalanta responded with renewed urgency. Still lacked a finishing touch. Rowe headed off target from 12 yards allowing Juventus to take a slender advantage into the interval.
The second half began at a pace with both sides creating chances. Nicolás González and Randal Kolo Muani went close for Juventus while Guglielmo Vicario made a save at the other end to keep out a powerful Rowe effort.
Atalanta kept chasing an equaliser, with Thomas Kristensen seeing a close‑range header blocked as the contest entered its half‑hour.
Facing the prospect of a third successive league defeat under the same manager for the first time since April 2025 the visitors turned to their bench. Giacomo Raspadori, Gianluca Scamacca and Gianluca Gaetano were introduced in an effort to revive their attack.
Instead Juventus delivered the blow in the 77th minute. Edon Zhegrova swung an inviting corner into the penalty area, where Bremer rose highest to power a header and double the Juventus advantage.
That goal drained the momentum from Atalanta’s challenge. Juventus threatened to add further glory to the scoreline.
Kolo Muani and substitute Teun Koopmeiners both went close in the closing stages as Juventus finished firmly in control.
A third goal proved unnecessary. Juventus comfortably protected their lead to secure a sheet and three valuable points strengthening their position, near the top of a tightly contested Serie A table.
