Bayern prepare improved Olise deal as Real Madrid monitor developments
Real Madrid’s prospects of signing Michael Olise are likely to depend heavily on the outcome of his next round of contract talks with Bayern Munich.
The French winger is attracting serious interest from the Spanish club, but Bayern remain confident of keeping him and are preparing to discuss improved terms that reflect his growing importance.

Olise is already contracted until 2029, giving Bayern a strong position. Nevertheless, his performances since arriving from Crystal Palace have prompted the club to consider rewarding him with a significant salary increase and a longer deal.
The 24-year-old is understood to earn close to €300,000 per week. His rapid development has strengthened his case for an improved package, with discussions expected to begin later this year.
Before turning their full attention to Olise, however, Bayern want to resolve Harry Kane’s contract situation. Once that priority has been addressed, the club can move forward with plans for the winger’s next agreement.
That sequence will be closely watched in Madrid.
Real’s interest is substantial, but whether they pursue a transfer more actively will depend on how negotiations develop. A swift agreement would reinforce Bayern’s confidence, while any complications could make the situation more interesting for potential suitors.
For now, Bayern do not anticipate difficulties in persuading Olise to accept new terms. Their intention is to recognise his progress financially while securing his services for a longer period.
The player himself is unlikely to offer many public clues about his thinking. Olise is known for keeping his views private and allowing his performances to command attention.

He did so again on Friday, scoring for France in their 1-1 draw with Italy and providing another reminder of the quality that has made him such an attractive prospect.
His existing contract means Bayern are under no immediate pressure to make a decision. The proposed talks are instead an opportunity to strengthen a relationship that has developed impressively since his move from Palace.
Real Madrid therefore remain interested observers rather than a club with a clear route to a deal. Once negotiations begin, the terms Bayern can agree with Olise will provide a much stronger indication of whether that position is likely to change.
