Danish Superliga: AGF beat Viborg to take the lead in the Superliga standings with a 7-point advantage.

Viborg are a formidable force at home, and the home team also had the best start to Sunday's match with creative one-touch football and intelligent teamwork. They were rewarded after just seven minutes when Asker Beck passed to Sami Jalal, who was unmarked in the penalty area, and Jalal scored, beating AGF's goalkeeper Jesper Hansen.

However, the home team did not have much time to celebrate, as Viborg's goalkeeper Lucas Lund created an opportunity for the visitors to get back into the game when he failed to catch Felix Bejimo's cross, and the German forward Janni Serra quickly reacted to put the ball in the net, much to the disappointment of the home fans.

Despite drawing level, Viborg continued to dominate the match and create chances, but were unable to regain the lead against a resilient AGF. During a very difficult phase of the game, AGF's defence saved the day. Contrary to the course of the game, AGF took an undeserved lead four minutes before half-time when Serra scored his second goal of the match with a beautiful header from a long throw-in by Henrik Dalsgaard.

In the second half, the away team played more attractive football, although Viborg remained dangerous on the counterattack. AGF missed several opportunities to make it 3-1, which kept Viborg's hopes of equalising alive until the end. However, AGF managed to hold on for the win, a crucial victory for their title ambitions.

Vejle Boldklub, currently bottom of the table, still need a miracle to avoid relegation, despite scoring a late equaliser to earn a point against Randers. Elies Mahmoud put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute when he calmly scored from a free kick. However, Vejle were the eventual winners and secured their third consecutive draw when Mikkel Duelund successfully converted a penalty in stoppage time after Bismark Edjeodji was fouled by Daniel Hoegh in the box.

OB have regained seventh place in the league table and can still dream of competing in European competitions next season, with German striker Jona Niemiec scoring the decisive goal to secure a 1-0 win against Fredericia with a precise one-touch shot in the final minutes of stoppage time. Gustav Marcussen had the chance to secure an unlikely victory for the visitors when he was one-on-one with Odense's Viljar Myhra in the second half, but he missed the opportunity, allowing the home team to win in the dying seconds.
