Dortmund staged a remarkable comeback in the final minutes to secure a victory over Stuttgart.

The team, which is currently top of the Bundesliga, has shown its determination right from the start. Chris Führich, who had just made his first appearance for the German national team since November 2024, was particularly impressive, although his ambitious long-range shots were often blocked by Gregor Kobel.

The team of Sebastian Hoeneß continued to put pressure on, with Marcel Sabitzer having to dive to block Führich's shot after Kobel had blocked Angelo Stiller's shot.

Stuttgart showed no signs of slowing down, but the opening goal still eluded them, with Deniz Undav shooting over the crossbar after a long throw-in from Ramon Hendriks, and Serhou Guirassy heading Führich's powerful shot over the bar.

Fuhrich then gave the visitors a chance to reduce the deficit after Undav won a free kick from Nico Schlotterbeck near the edge of the box; his free kick flew harmlessly over Kobel's crossbar.

His dangerous half-volley shot went over the crossbar just before Carney Chukwuemeka had a rare Dortmund shot that went well wide of the goal before half-time.

The first few minutes of the second half seemed more promising for Niko Kovac, although Lorenz Assignon still forced Kobel to make a save after a well-rehearsed corner routine from the home team.

Karim Adeyemi and Fabio Silva were brought on for Dortmund right after the 60^(th) minute, and not long after that, Jamie Leweling was also introduced as both teams sought to gain the upper hand in a very tense match.

Ramy Bensebaini looked slightly nervous before Kobel caught the header back, but both teams struggled to create dangerous chances for the opposing goalkeeper despite the attacking substitutions.

Stiller and Leweling each took a curling shot that missed the target in the final minutes, making it seem as if the most high-scoring Bundesliga match would end in a 0-0 draw.

However, Adeyemi changed that in the 94th minute, when he made an excellent first touch after Jeff Chabot's clearance and scored the decisive goal.

Just a few moments later, Julian Brandt finished off a lightning-fast counterattack with a precise shot into Alexander Nubel's top corner, helping Die Schwarzgelben secure their fourth consecutive victory and extending their lead over Stuttgart to 11 points, while closing the gap on league leaders Bayern Munich to just 9 points.

Meanwhile, Die Schwaben dropped behind RB Leipzig on goal difference after their first defeat in seven Bundesliga games.
