Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in his comeback match as Al Nassr thrashed Al Najma.

The Portuguese forward, who has been out of action since February, missed Al Nassr's two most recent league games and also failed to participate in Portugal's friendlies against Mexico and the United States last month.

Al Najma, a team that has only won once in 27 league games, surprisingly took the lead a minute before half-time thanks to Rakan Al Tulayhi's goal.

Al Nassr responded quickly, with goals from Abdullah Al Hamdan and Sadio Mané in stoppage time in the first half, turning the game around.

The visitors equalised just two minutes after the restart thanks to a goal from Felippe Cardoso, but Al Nassr regained control when Ronaldo scored a penalty in the 56^(th) minute.

The 41-year-old scored his second goal in the 73rd minute, before Mané sealed the victory with a goal in stoppage time.

This was Al Nassr's 13th consecutive win in the league, helping them to maintain their position at the top of the table with 70 points, six points ahead of second-placed Al Hilal. Al Hilal will play Al Taawoun on Saturday.
