Bayer Leverkusen vs Wolfsburg: nine goals and a remarkable comeback.
After earning only one point in his first two games in charge, Dieter Hecking led his team to Leverkusen in the hope of providing the impetus needed for their Bundesliga relegation battle.

Jonas Wind gave the visitors a perfect start, shooting powerfully with his left foot to beat Mark Flekken after showing great strength to hold off Loic Bade.
However, Wolfsburg's joy quickly turned to disappointment when the referee controversially awarded a penalty, ruling that Joakim Maehle had committed a foul beyond the touchline in a challenge with Ibrahim Maza, allowing Alex Grimaldo to calmly score from the spot in the middle of the goal.
Maehle transformed the frustration he had felt into motivation, attempting to regain the upper hand in the match. He immediately took a powerful shot from a long-range, beyond the reach of the goalkeeper, after the home team failed to effectively deal with the long pass from Grabara from the beginning of the game.
The situation worsened further for Kasper Hjulmand's team when Christian Eriksen deceived Flekken from 12 metres after the referee consulted the video assistant referee and awarded a penalty for Tapsoba's foul on Mohamed Amoura.
However, just as Die Wolfe thought they had done enough to take a two-goal lead into the break, Grimaldo pulled the score back with his second goal of an exciting first half, firing a low shot into the bottom corner of the net to complete his third Bundesliga brace of the season.
Despite the efforts to score right before half-time, Hjulmand made a substitution, bringing Patrik Schick into the game in a quick change that paid off after Sael Kumbedi fouled Nathan Tella in the penalty area.
Schick took responsibility for the third penalty of the match instead of Grimaldo, waiting for Grabara to dive before rolling the ball in the opposite direction.

With the home team now in the lead, Tapsoba successfully handled a chaotic situation in the penalty area, skilfully putting the ball in the net after hitting the far post, helping his team to take the lead for the first time in the match.
Maza then sealed the three-point victory with a curling shot through Grabara's defence after Leverkusen created space against Wolfsburg with a well-rehearsed corner routine.
There was still time for Malik Tillman to score a sixth goal, making matters worse for Wolves, who are currently in 17th place and still three points behind the play-off relegation zone. As for the home team, they remain in sixth place, four points behind the top four.
