What's new in CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27?
The 2026/27 competition begins with 56 clubs in the preliminary rounds. Eight of the highest-ranked teams receive a bye into the second preliminary round, while the other 48 clubs compete in 24 two-legged ties in the first preliminary round. The 24 winners then join the eight exempted teams to form the 32-club second preliminary round.
